Ruger’s Smokin Pistol is a registered Tennessee Walking Horse.

# 21602559

He is a 7 years old gelding standing 15 hands.

Ruger’s Smokin Pistol is a gorgeous Black Roan Sabino! He is built like a brick house and can easily carry a big rider through the rugged trails.

Ruger has that smooth head shaking run walk that everyone loves! He has been part of my family since he was 17 months old and was broke by my son Cody. Ruger was finished out by me Vanessa Sturgill.

Ruger has been my personal trail horse for over the past 5 years. I am now 54 years old and had full right knee replacement surgery completed in 2021 and have trouble mounting due to a bad surgery. I am partially disabled and Ruger stands perfectly still like a gentleman for me as I struggle to mount him.

My granddaughter Emma who is 11 years old and a intermediate rider has ridden Ruger and handles him very well! Ruger is best suited for an intermediate rider because he does have a motor, but he can be laid back and easy going just as well.

Ruger has been trail ridden all over KY and showed at our county horse shows and won a few ribbons. He is easy to bathe, groom, shoe, clip, tack up, stands when mounted by ground or mounting block and holds still until you give him the go ahead to walk off and is patient. Ruger ties well, has good ground and trailer manners, no pawing, is easy to load and unload backs out of the horse trailer with ease like a pro!

In the saddle Ruger is easy in the mouth, not lazy he goes forward and backs with ease. Is calm and easy to work around on the ground or in the stall.

The trail doesn’t get too steep, and the water doesn’t get too deep for him! He will ride over rough rocky terrain, through deep water, ease across deep boggy mud, scale steep slopes, cross logs and handle any obstacle that comes at him.

I currently have too many horses to care for and ride at this time and Ruger is available due to no fault of his own. Most of my horses are young 2 and 3 year old stud colts. So, I have my hands full at this time getting them broke.

Ruger just happened to be the only broke, broke horse I have ready to offer at this time. Ruger is trail broke, traffic safe, safe around lots of noisy dogs and will ride out by himself or with other horses with great trail manners! He has no bad habits like rearing, kicking, biting, bucking, cribbing, weaving or barn/buddy sour. Ruger is a nice ride, absolutely gorgeous to look at and has the ride to go with it!

So if you are looking for a good trail horse that’s safe, dependable, stout and beautiful to look at! Ruger is all that and more!

Schedule appointment today to come ride Ruger!

I have access to ride in indoor arena 25 minutes away in Stanford, Ky or can meet at community park trail 20 minutes from my house weather permitting.

Proxy Bidding:

Proxy bidding is an automatic bidding system that is great to use! Entering a proxy amount allows the system to automatically bid on your behalf. This keeps you from having to babysit the auction. It also protects your maximum bid by not displaying that amount until you are bid against. We advise entering your max bid especially if you will be away from your electronic device or in a poor service area at the end of the auction. To place a proxy, or automatic, bid simply enter the amount of your maximum bid into the Custom Bid box. This allows the system to automatically enter your next bid $100 above contending bidders until your maximum bid is met or the auction ends, whichever comes first. You may also increase your maximum bid at any time without it displaying until you are bid against. If your maximum bid is reached and you are outbid, you will receive an email letting you know that you have been outbid.

Buy It Now:

If the bidding process is NOT for you, we offer a Buy It Now (BIN) option. This option allows you to purchase a horse immediately without waiting until the auction closes. The Buy It Now (BIN) option is available at the seller’s discretion. If the seller offers a Buy It Now option, a bidder can purchase that horse immediately at a price set by the seller. When the “Buy It Now” button is selected, the auction will end immediately. At that time, the purchaser is responsible to make payment arrangements with Classic Horse Auction. You may either be invoiced or you may pay via credit card (a 4% processing fee will be added for all credit card transactions). The “Buy It Now” option will be removed prior to the close of the auction.

Final Minutes:

Please be aware that if a bid is placed within 5 minutes of the close of the auction, an additional 5 minutes will be added to the clock. Time will extend for each new bid placed until 5 minutes has gone by with no new bids.

Technical Issues:

In the event of technical issues (site crash, server glitch, etc.) within the last 10 minutes of the auction that prevent you from placing your bid, please contact Hope Jenne (615-545-6488) within TEN MINUTES of the close of the auction.

Non Payment Fee:

Buyers are required to make payment by the close of business the following day. Purchasers who do not will be charged a $1,000 fee to the card on file. This also applies to purchasers using the Buy It Now option.

Still Need Help?:

Serving customers, both buyers and sellers, is our top priority. We want this to be a seamless process for everyone involved. Please reach out to us via text or call with any additional questions you might have.
