A Cowgirls Dream
Blue River, also known as Bluey, is a stunning blue roan spotted Registered Tennessee Walking Horse, a horse that everyone dreams of owning. Born on July 12, 2016, he stands a solid 14.2 hands tall. I can’t say enough good things about this handsome boy. I’ve had the privilege of owning him for the past three years as my personal trail partner. Over that time, we’ve explored some tough terrain, but Bluey is a special horse, and I’m offering him for sale because my new career has limited my time for trail riding. He’s just too great of a horse to be turned out and ridden only a few times a year. This has been a tough decision for me and my family. Bluey is like a best friend to me, always at the gate or stall door, waiting for my undivided attention.
He’s incredibly intelligent with the best temperament you could ask for. Bluey loves giving affection and thrives on receiving it in return. He’s the true definition of a trail horse, and I call him my mountain goat. Bluey has spent his life carrying us through the mountains of Woodbury, Tennessee, and he’s traveled with me to various campgrounds. He handles all types of terrain, from manicured trails to the oh-crap trails, with the utmost confidence and grace. There isn’t a hill too steep, a slide too long, or a body of water too deep for him to handle. Bluey will take you through it all with unwavering confidence and safety.
We’ve encountered wildlife, bikes, and ATVs on the trails, and none of it fazes him. Mounting him is a breeze. He’ll stand perfectly still if you need to mount from the ground. If that’s not convenient, just snap your fingers, and Bluey will step over to allow you to mount from whatever surface you’re standing on. And if that doesn’t work, a tap on the shoulder will have him lie down so you can mount or dismount with ease.
Bluey is a true trail horse with a calm, confident demeanor. He’s comfortable either leading the pack or exploring the countryside solo. He’s versatile enough to ride in any position in a group, and he has a smooth walk and gait that make him a pleasure to ride. Bluey is patient, and he doesn’t mind when other horses follow closely behind him. He’s been used in many different settings, parades, trail rides, night rides, and even assisting with cattle work. He’s also been used to rope calves in the pasture.
Bluey is easy to catch. Just call his name, and he’ll come running to you. He’s comfortable in both a stall and the pasture with other horses. He travels well in the trailer and stands tied or cross-tied without any issues. On camping trips, I’ve even picket-lined him, and he handled it like a pro. Bluey is well-trained and has a great handle. He side-passes, neck reins, and backs up easily. He’s also accustomed to being hobbled out on the trails. He stands perfectly for baths, grooming, the farrier, and saddling.
Bluey is up to date on all his vaccinations and dental work. If you’re looking for a true trail horse with all the bells and whistles and a friendly personality, don’t miss out on Bluey. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a visit to meet him. We’d be thrilled to tell you more about this special boy.

Proxy Bidding:
Proxy bidding is an automatic bidding system that is great to use! Entering a proxy amount allows the system to automatically bid on your behalf. This keeps you from having to babysit the auction. It also protects your maximum bid by not displaying that amount until you are bid against. We advise entering your max bid especially if you will be away from your electronic device or in a poor service area at the end of the auction. To place a proxy, or automatic, bid simply enter the amount of your maximum bid into the Custom Bid box. This allows the system to automatically enter your next bid $100 above contending bidders until your maximum bid is met or the auction ends, whichever comes first. You may also increase your maximum bid at any time without it displaying until you are bid against. If your maximum bid is reached and you are outbid, you will receive an email letting you know that you have been outbid.
Buy It Now:
If the bidding process is NOT for you, we offer a Buy It Now (BIN) option. This option allows you to purchase a horse immediately without waiting until the auction closes. The Buy It Now (BIN) option is available at the seller’s discretion. If the seller offers a Buy It Now option, a bidder can purchase that horse immediately at a price set by the seller. When the “Buy It Now” button is selected, the auction will end immediately. At that time, the purchaser is responsible to make payment arrangements with Classic Horse Auction. You may either be invoiced or you may pay via credit card (a 4% processing fee will be added for all credit card transactions). The “Buy It Now” option will be removed prior to the close of the auction.
Final Minutes:
Please be aware that if a bid is placed within 5 minutes of the close of the auction, an additional 5 minutes will be added to the clock. Time will extend for each new bid placed until 5 minutes has gone by with no new bids.
Technical Issues:
In the event of technical issues (site crash, server glitch, etc.) within the last 10 minutes of the auction that prevent you from placing your bid, please contact Hope Jenne (615-545-6488) within TEN MINUTES of the close of the auction.
Non Payment Fee:
Buyers are required to make payment by the close of business the following day. Purchasers who do not will be charged a $1,000 fee to the card on file. This also applies to purchasers using the Buy It Now option.
Still Need Help?:
Serving customers, both buyers and sellers, is our top priority. We want this to be a seamless process for everyone involved. Please reach out to us via text or call with any additional questions you might have.
