We proudly introduce to you, Billy, a 12 yr old grade TWH gelding. Billy is a beautiful sorrel sabino or as many old timers would say, a strawberry roan. He has an eye catching blaze, along with enough white markings to add some chrome. Billy also has a healthy, thick, blonde mane and tail! He isn’t just a pretty face though, Billy is an experienced trail mount! Billy has seen countless miles of trail riding, along with numerous camping trips. He has been both stalled and picket lined while camping. Billy easily loads and backs off the trailer with no fuss. He has encountered wildlife such as, deer, squirrels, rabbits, etc. while trail riding. He confidently crosses water, downed trees, and travels strategically through rocky and rugged terrain. He has spent many hours in the backwoods where the terrain requires skill.
Billy stands 57.5 inches tall, so just under 14.2 hh. Although he comes in a compact size, he has a heart the size of Texas! Billy has a motor when you need it, but also the quiet, gentle soul at the right times. He can bring the skilled riders a thrilling ride racking into the teens, the more relaxed riders a quiet ride through the woods, or drop his head while you lead the children around on him. He is an intelligent horse, it seems that he knows to adjust his attitude to his riders skill set.
Billy is a forward moving horse but easily controllable. He can travel in a nice flat walk, a smooth ground covering run walk, or smoothly rack along in the teens. He is a blast to ride! Billy is good for both the vet and farrier, stands to be groomed, tacked up, and to mount and dismount.
Occasionally, he moves a little when initially mounting, but for the most part he stands well. Billy is simply keg shod, just a natural racking horse. He stays square in all of his speeds. Billy will happily lead the pack or ride alone, but he doesn’t mind to take the middle or back either.
We have known Billy for the majority of his life and rode several miles along side him, as well as trail ridden him many times ourselves! Some friends of ours have had him for several years, this past year they added a child to their family and just simply decided to step back from the horse world during this era of their life. I was happy to acquire Billy this summer. We put him right back to work with no trouble, even after he had some time off. Billy has been and is loved.
A good home is a must, it is time for someone else to have the opportunity to enjoy him. Billy has been ridden by different riders, but he was primarily ridden by the wife at his last home and by Courtney here. So, we seen it fitting for him to be listed through the Classic Cowgirl Sale!
Billy is UTD on deworming, coggins, vaccinations, and has a clear health exam from the veterinarian. He is ready to hit the trails this fall! Billy is just simply a solid trail horse that has been there and done it. No fancy buttons, but enjoyable to hit the trails on, along with being a loving companion at home.

Proxy Bidding:
Proxy bidding is an automatic bidding system that is great to use! Entering a proxy amount allows the system to automatically bid on your behalf. This keeps you from having to babysit the auction. It also protects your maximum bid by not displaying that amount until you are bid against. We advise entering your max bid especially if you will be away from your electronic device or in a poor service area at the end of the auction. To place a proxy, or automatic, bid simply enter the amount of your maximum bid into the Custom Bid box. This allows the system to automatically enter your next bid $100 above contending bidders until your maximum bid is met or the auction ends, whichever comes first. You may also increase your maximum bid at any time without it displaying until you are bid against. If your maximum bid is reached and you are outbid, you will receive an email letting you know that you have been outbid.
Buy It Now:
If the bidding process is NOT for you, we offer a Buy It Now (BIN) option. This option allows you to purchase a horse immediately without waiting until the auction closes. The Buy It Now (BIN) option is available at the seller’s discretion. If the seller offers a Buy It Now option, a bidder can purchase that horse immediately at a price set by the seller. When the “Buy It Now” button is selected, the auction will end immediately. At that time, the purchaser is responsible to make payment arrangements with Classic Horse Auction. You may either be invoiced or you may pay via credit card (a 4% processing fee will be added for all credit card transactions). The “Buy It Now” option will be removed prior to the close of the auction.
Final Minutes:
Please be aware that if a bid is placed within 5 minutes of the close of the auction, an additional 5 minutes will be added to the clock. Time will extend for each new bid placed until 5 minutes has gone by with no new bids.
Technical Issues:
In the event of technical issues (site crash, server glitch, etc.) within the last 10 minutes of the auction that prevent you from placing your bid, please contact Hope Jenne (615-545-6488) within TEN MINUTES of the close of the auction.
Non Payment Fee:
Buyers are required to make payment by the close of business the following day. Purchasers who do not will be charged a $1,000 fee to the card on file. This also applies to purchasers using the Buy It Now option.
